POURED !!! Finally we have a solid foundation, not a pile of styrofoam fighting the weekly 70mph windstorms we've been having! With the help of Clugston Concrete from Olathe to run the pour and vibrate to fill all the voids, we scheduled the pumper truck, 3 loads of concrete (28 cubic yards total) and went at it. Being a bit anal about the installation of the ICF forms payed off, as it went off without a hitch, no blowouts, no walls going out of alignment, etc. Three hours and it was done. One step's done and another's begun.....

Note the "ICFVL" plates in the wall >> These penetrate into the concrete, and other connectors "ICFVL-CW" hold an LVL (laminated veneer lumber) ledger board, and screw into these. From that ledger the floor trusses will be hung, thus suspending the floor framing inside the foundation on the high side of the house, instead of on top of it (keeping a lower profile).
