Finally about ready to pour concrete in the ICF forms. What with the grade beam not thick enough and our engineer's directives, we will have OVER 1 MILE of rebar in the foundation, counting caissons, grade beam, and ICF's. Plenty of complications getting the ICF's installed - some of which is the house plan, which I've managed to make more complicated at every stage. And the WIND !!! Gusts yesterday were 60 mph in town, and I'm sure at least 70 at the house site. Our porta-potty was not just blown over, but sent 50 feet down the hill (I would have gotten a picture, but couldn't stand still in the wind). The porta-potty company said that of all their units in the valley, only 2 were still standing after the storm came through. And our west wall was bent & leaning, even with 5-6 rows of horizontal rebar in that section! Waiting now for some Simpson connectors that insert into the forms, that will eventually have hangers screwed on that hold ledgers that the floor system will hang from. Then we can pour!

Stalwart assistant Dan Miller helps me hold up the wall.
Built these cool stairs to get in & out of the foundation
Some of the MILE of rebar is visible here
